For those of you concerned of all the games you have bought for your Wii. The Wii U will be backwards compatible with it. Although those who enjoy GameCube games will have to fork over some memory and money to still enjoy them. The Wii U will have a Virtual Console which does have a larger array of console games such as:

  • GameCube
  • Neo Geo
  • N64
  • Super Nintendo
  • NES
  • Sega Master System

Due to the lack of compatibility with the GameCube remote, the games will have to be remapped to a Wii Controller.

The games will vary from approx. 500 to 1500 Wii Points which translates to about $5- $15 per game, and of course memory. Keep that in mind when you look at the variety of bundles and between the Basic or Deluxe Sets.

Until the next castle! (where the princess still won’t be at)
